October 6, 2008 This week, CrimeStoppers and the Rantoul Police Department are seeking information regarding a residential burglary that occurred in the 400 block of East Wabash Avenue, Rantoul. On Sunday, September 21st, at 4:15 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 400 block of East Wabash Avenue, Rantoul. The victim reported being awakened by an unknown person who had entered her residence. The victim described the suspect as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build, and wearing dark-colored clothing. It as later determined that the suspect had entered the residence through an unlocked front window. When the victim awoke, the suspect left through the front door of the residence. Several items were later determined to be missing from the residence. The next night, Rantoul police officers responded to multiple calls involving a suspicious subject, matching the above description, who was looking in windows of residences in the following areas: 1400 block of Abram If you have any information regarding these incidents, please call the Rantoul Police Department at (217) 892-2103 or contact CrimeStoppers.
